You You Yes, there we go. So as far as the month like through the end of July, we were kind of down still and didn't quite hit budget on the daily launches. We have hit that now. August has been really good for us. So. But yeah, all these numbers, just because this is almost to the end of August already. So pretty much our daily launches season launches transient rates. All that stuff has already hit the budget numbers for for that. Um. Ice is just about to budget already. So I think we're looking pretty good. So these numbers are kind of just because they're almost a month old already kind of. So if anybody has any questions, but as of right now we're looking pretty good. We have some issues. Race. First of all, let's look at the. Well, you know, we're back up to the same idea every year, what we want to do. The current rate for inflation is 3.4. So by asking for 3%, we're not even keeping up with the average of the country's rate. So that's what we're recommending. Stay the same. It's up to you to approve that. Our costs also going up at the same. Everything's going up. Everything is up. I guess that's true, isn't it? Everything is. And we will not. We'll probably still be behind a little bit, but. You know how high is high. We can go higher, but I don't think we need to. How is there only because they don't want to go ahead. I've said everybody, everybody wants to go lower, but it's a good recommendation. How is our waiting list looking like? I'm sorry. How is our waiting list looking like? The waiting list is healthy again this year. There's still a bunch of people on the waiting list that haven't had, haven't purchased both. So these are previous, not from this year. This year we had, I think, about 30 people go on the list. So I mean, people are waiting list continues to grow with the issues and. And stuff like that. So I mean, we're pretty fortunate that we are getting a lot of people from there. And just people that are starting to get into voting. So currently it's pretty healthy. Good. Our city administrator is still looking for a slip. Can't find one. It's on your sheet. I'm 36. Yep. So is that 3082 with tax? That's an increase of how much? 3%. I don't know how much it was 29. It was 29.93 before. Oh, that isn't that much. No. Yeah. Well, we'll, we'll take that up. You did provide us with, you know, the comparisons with the nearby marinas, which is important. We want to stay, you know, within. Right. And I think you pointed out, and I agree that I think we have more to offer than a lot of the other arenas. But we still are in within reason. We're pretty close, you know, higher, a little on some lower, a little on others correct. Yes. Do you feel like we are positioned pretty well with that context of these other marinas? The difference is not that much. Okay. And most marinas. Do we know they're going to raise their rates? Have you heard anything about that? I think right now the rates that you see for Racine are holding during construction. So those, as far as like what their website says, those rates will be holding currently. I don't know that for sure, but that's just what their website says. So, and their construction is still a couple more years. I'm assuming it's because of inconvenience for everybody. Sheboygan, I have no idea what their rates are. Their rates are still 2025. They have nothing posted. I'm assuming they're nothing great because I don't know what their rates are up there. So we have their 2025 rates on here, which were less than ours because they dropped all their rates due to the fact that they have less amenities. They could still be raising rates theoretically from these numbers. Yes. Yes. These are all either 2025 or 2026. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I saw Sheboygan had a plan for restructuring the marina, which looks pretty ambitious and pretty expensive. So I'm not sure if that's something that's actually happening or just the concept they're going to think about. I haven't seen that. I have data on their website. Yeah. They're tearing down half their buildings and rebuilding them in different spots and then restructuring the marina. So it basically has two main peers and a bunch of and then the peers branch off the two main ones. Wow. And then we'll take a drive up. Interesting. Yeah. I think it was on like it was on a Sheboygan Facebook page that said you should bring a Facebook page. It might have been. And in the balance sheet, there is slip rentals main and north slip rentals with this effect both. And then what is the difference between those? The slip rentals north and then slip rentals main. I see here. The slip rentals for the main marina are the slip rentals for the north slip are charters. So they have an extra $200 fee. Okay. So in here, the slip rentals north slip rentals is charters. Are you talking about the budget or? Yeah. Yeah. Sorry. I'm just trying to clarification the budget. Yes. So the slip rentals are anything in the north slip. So anybody who is tied up on the north side of the channel. Okay. All the way into the north slip. So charters, anybody that would be on the wall. That's a permanent tenant. Okay. We only have one of those now. We moved everybody else inside. And then main marina is everybody in the main marina. Okay. Thank you. Yep. Sue, did you want to expand on your idea? Oh, the 4% with the year. My God, my God. I think we should raise raise it by to 4%. It's not that much more. We have a waiting list. We have a healthy marina. It's not that much money. And then would this money then go to the renovation project for 2027 or 28? Whenever that was discussed, or how does that work for us? Well, I'm thinking that raises just to keep operation monies close. Okay. And if we make a profit, it goes into our reserve fund. Yeah. Anything that would be for projects would be either comes out of our reserve monies or borrowed money. Okay. Anybody else feel it should go to four? Yeah, for, you know, inflation's been over 3% this year between three and roughly four. So, you know, it probably keeps up with expenses a little better that way. I don't remember what we raised it last year, though. 2%. Okay. So we were, we were well below inflation last year then. Yes. Okay. So, so 4 probably keeps us pretty much on pace with where we would have been if we just followed inflation last year too. We were probably actually a little bit behind that yet. I'm, I'm in favor of whatever the board was. Um, so it looks like we have three. What do you feel? Yeah, I think, you know, if with a healthy waiting list and more voters just trying to get into the activity and the maintenance and ongoing costs of wages for our dock hands, I think it would be pretty smart to do. Sue, when we can make your motion. Okay. Make a motion to raise. The marina slip. The marina slip fees to 4%. Okay. Any further discussion? All in favor say aye. Aye. Opposed? Say no. Motion carry. Uh, next we have the, uh, transient rates. And what are we thinking there? Well, that one we're asking to raise it. To the $2. To $2 of square foot rather than a dollar and. 96 cents. That's kind of a no brainer. We can do that. Yeah. I mean, we are higher than most people. I mean, minus Milwaukee. And Milwaukee's got their weirdo way of doing things down there. So they don't even post it online. But as of last year, like our rates were. Pretty much even with theirs. Or they were a little bit higher in certain areas and we were a little bit higher in others. But for the most part, Milwaukee's higher than us. However, we're significantly less than Chibwegan. I think Racine's like a dollar 85. But like our weekly rates are cheaper than Racine's. So our daily rate is 15 cents more. If we go to the $2, but the, the weekly rate is. A little bit better for us. Nice. Even number two. Easy to manage. Correct. So how do our transient rates or our rates are trans, member of transient visitors comparing this year to previous years? I would say we were, we're like June, we were down. Like last year, May was like really significant for us because the coal fishing was great. So we had so many trailer boats staying by us in slips and spraying. It was ridiculous. But with the coal fishing only lasting a couple weeks this year, we kind of didn't have that traffic. But let month of July and August were last year, we lost a lot of our big groups coming from Michigan or other places because of weather and waves. That has not really been an issue for us this year. So we've definitely gained. So I would say that we're probably about the same as to where we were last year. Yeah. The numbers are the same as far as the budget is concerned. We're about $73,000. Pretty much the same as last year at this time. So we should go over that between now and the end of the season. We don't want to discourage people from coming because that's the feed into the city for, you know, economic impact with all the restaurants and shops and business. You want to keep those people coming. It's nice to see the big boats in the, in the north slip when it's full. We do any discounts for any groups like boat us or. No, we haven't been. We never did in the 20, 30 years. And they still keep coming and still keep. Yeah, no need. They like Port Washington because of our, you know, our location with. Downtown being right in the front door. And we get nothing but compliments from the people that. Fortunately, we have a great staff. Does anybody have any questions or issues with that suggestion for $2? No. Motion to approve of $2. Second. Second. All in favor say aye. Aye. All opposed say no. Motion is carried. The pump out rates. They've been changed forever. And do we want to go from $6, which is practically nothing. And we don't do a lot. All the pump outs for the tenants are free is free. This is just so this is just for transit for voters and. We want to raise it to $10, which. Pretty much in line with what everybody else is except for. A couple others, but we don't do that. We don't really do that many. It will raise us from like $600 a year to 1000. Yeah. Yeah. Anybody have any concerns about that issue? Anybody want to make a motion? Second. All in favor say aye. Aye. Opposed say no. Motion carried. What are the upcoming events? Upcoming events. As soon as I find my slip out. Where'd it go? Here. This is the 21st annual of the. The. Rondezvous race where the number of boats come into port and we. Race the circuit here. That's on September 5th. And then Venetian night is on the 6th. And the cardboard boat race will be September 7th. Wow. Which is a holiday. That's if we have one. We don't know how many are going to sign up yet. We just got two entries today. There's a different sponsor this year for the. See scouts is kind of taking this on as well. They'll generate some more. Yeah. So I think I think they'll start trickling in. But we did receive two today. So we have a race. I think the harbor commission should have one. Better design one, Danny. Oh, no, no, no. I said the harbor commission. Well, tell I thought you were going to do this at one point in time. Well, who's going to be the. Excuse excuses. Excuse us. I did concrete canoe in college. Hey, there you go. Yeah. So it'd be easier to make a cardboard canoe float in the concrete one. Wow. Well, that's that's coming up and it looks pretty good. That is that what they used to call the labor day regatta that race on. The fifth. Yeah. Are there other calls around it now? Are there other clubs coming in? Yeah. So the weather is good. We have a lot of people. Yeah. Okay. Well, that that's pretty good. You're the end of the season already. I can't believe it. I really can't. Okay. Anybody have issues with the questions about these events. Hearing none, then we're going to move to the next item, which is my business. And I don't really have anything. At this time. Any commission member have any issues they want to discuss? I just want to circle back. Yeah. This year with the. Not for the annual passes. A little bit for the lawn, the daily launches. I mean, the annual pass. I think people are just, you know, fine whipping out a hundred dollar bill. The annual pass got a little bit of flack, but not too bad. Kind of right in the beginning. And some guy just the other day. Said something, but. I don't know where he goes. That's a lot cheaper, but maybe she boy again, but. Beyond that, it, it wasn't, it wasn't really that bad. So. I'd like to bring up the, the wakes in the Marina. From. Going past my boat. They're horrible, absolutely horrible. Nobody's monitoring this and actually. A boat went past and. Through my. Friends kayak up onto my swim platform. It was that bad. So I don't know what we can do about it, but it's, it's awful. We used to monitor us here and there. Well, the only way to do that too is because we don't see it. If I see it, I've issued tickets to charter boats already. I've done that. It's mainly the charter. When I see it, but if I don't see it, I need you to sign a complaint. On that boat and then we'll, we can issue the ticket, right? If I sign a complaint, my name is on it, my boat's on it. I'm not. I know you're afraid. Somebody's going to do something to my boat. But if I don't see the violation, I can't, I can't sign it. It's pretty awful. It's pretty awful. Are they fishing boats? They're, they're everything. They're charter boats. They're fishing boats. Well, I haven't seen that. Oh, I have. I see the charter boats. But you know, I see everything because I'm right out there. A lot of charter boats come flying by. A lot of times I'll give them the friendly slow down sign. And a lot of times they'll say, Oh, yeah, sorry. A lot of times that I get the, you know, the one, one of the. Well, I'll, I'll pay more attention because I've, we send a letter to the charter boats. And then every year telling them. Do you? About, about that week. And I said, this is your first warning. Okay. So the next one is a ticket. And they know that. I think if somebody gets a ticket, you did that once. We discussed it many years ago. One, one charter boat got a ticket and the word got out. So everybody kind of slowed down, but it's, it's pretty bad. Well, they get some, these young captains. There's some new operators working these boats. Okay. They don't get the feeling that, you know, they, they get that feeling that I'm a charter captain. You know what I want to do. Well. And remember when you, you, you did that, you, you timed it. Going slow. From the marina to the hair print turn. And then you went fast. What was the difference? Like. It's supposed to be all the way to the lighthouse. Oh, I understand. But I'm saying they don't save that much time. I know. I know. I agree. In fact, we even had an issue with the rescue boat. That they would go by. And cause damage with their week. And we settled that. Yep. But we'll send out another notice. Okay. I appreciate the fact that we've noticed. Charter captains have been violating the, you know, weight law. They shouldn't be. No, we should know. You can hurt somebody. Not enough. In the inner harbor, no matter what, the rescue boat is supposed to be going at no wake speed. Our standard operating procedure is to drag one engine in the inner harbor. And we are just in the notch. So we're a clutching speed. So it's as slow as the boat can go without. Hopping it back and forth. So we do have a new crew leader this year. I don't know if that's who was in it or if there was an emergency and somebody was pushing it. Well, if there was an emergency, they should still go. Right. Could have flipped, could have flipped me onto the dock or into the water. If I were on the bottom of my boat, cleaning it, they go through that fast. So. Okay. Is there a time when this usually happens that you know this? All day. Yep. All day. Okay. Cause the rescue boats usually doing training on Saturday mornings. Otherwise, if there's a call and it's after a quiet start to the year, it's been very busy for the last three weeks. But they still need to maintain the speed that they should. Yep. Oh, I have another thing. Yeah, go ahead. Well, we'll send, we'll send a notice out. Yes, please tomorrow. Because my boat's rocking and rolling. And one time I was probably $1,200. Anyway. We put a camera on the. Yes. Pointed. We could put that. We'll do that for next year. Put it on the on the field, field doc. But that's, that's where they start. So that's, that's not where they're fast. They're fast. When they get to my boat. Yeah. We'll have it on the field doc. Facing. Facing your boat. Okay. Facing out. Okay. So we'll catching anybody coming fast in or out. Okay. And also, could you put a note out when you send your letters to the tent? About people running their air conditioners when they're gone for two weeks. That's a waste of energy. And there's so many boats that I see with there. There's no one there. And they're running their air conditioners. It takes five, five minutes to cool off my cabin. With the air on, I never let it running. They should not run their air conditioners all the time. I don't know if that's a big deal to you, but it is to me. I'm an energy. I agree with you. I'll be quiet now. That's okay. Well, I'm not against that. Boy, that's going to be tough to enforce. Well, it could just suggest. Maybe it's just suggested. You can't enforce it. You don't want to put a meter on every. If he boat. Yeah. So I'm running his do that. Maria's they have water and they had meters on their electricity. Some do. Well, I'm not against that. Boy. That's going to be tough to enforce. Well, it could just suggest. Maybe it's just suggested. You can't enforce it. You don't want to put a meter on every. Yeah. Yeah. Maria's they have water and they had meters on their electricity. Some do. Yep. We don't do that. Well, exactly. What if one of their hoses break and their boat fills with water. So it's just a suggestion. And to preserve power. I think what we'll do is we'll do that in spring. Oh, yeah. Because I feel like if it said this year. It'll be forgotten by next year. But so good idea for the spring letter. Okay. That's it for me. We could take the air and water. Air and water, whatever. Because people walk away and I know they're gone for a week. They're not coming back for. And they run their air. It's crazy. Anybody else have some issues they want to talk about? No, I do run my. Do you humidifier all week though, just to keep them mold and mildew is much to a minimum. But no AC. That would be my one caveat to that is hard to. You know, good for the announcement, but hard to enforce because people are just. Yeah. Anything further? Okay. Next item is the public appearances again. Boy, we got. Let me tell you about what went on this week. This liaison thing is usually it was the Harbor Masters report, but I get confused. I'm not the liaison. We had the disabled vet on June 24th and it was. Very successful. We had 66 vets were taken out by various. Charter fishermen and single boat. Launches. Great Lakes fishing Derby was on the 26th and 28th of June. We had. Good weather and it was a successful event. National Marina Day was really good. I think we sold out by the one o'clock or something. We were running out of brats or not brats, but hot dogs and whatever was really busy. Fish day. A lot of transients were in enjoying the fish day festivities. Lions Fest in August was. It was July 31st and August 2nd. We're not so involved in that, but it was, it was okay. Clipper Cup. Sometimes Clipper Cup would end at like two and three in the morning, sometimes six o'clock in the morning. The first boat was in by actually I saw when I had three o'clock in the afternoon and the rest were in before dark. So that was a very, very good race. Everything has been great for the, for most of the, most of the summer, filling up within a couple hours. And just for your information yesterday, a 17 foot boat with four young men were, was capsized around five 30 in the morning. And by luck, one of our charter boats, Nikki boys charter boats, boat was able to be in the area and picked up the four kids and they were all okay, brought in, no problem. Lake was rough and capsized, a big wave capsized their little 17 foot boat. And I had an interview with the spectrum news again for the second time about Port Washington and we're getting a lot of ink, which is kind of nice. That's it. The, where can we see that, the interview of yours? Well it was on TV yesterday. spectrum news. Let me do the spectrum news does you might be able to find it online? I'll try it. That's the second time they did it. Okay. Very good. Whatever happened to the item that was the Harbor Mashes report, because we can't always, I don't know why. Can we put that back in? I don't know, because it went to members liaisons. So he's the liaison. So you're the members. He's the liaison. Yeah, we're the liaisons. Yeah. We're the liaison. Right. Right. We're all under one one. I got a new title. Yeah. They're liaisons. Everybody's under one heading now. We get promotions every day. So what you're saying is that a lot of the events the summer were really good. Yes. Sounds like. Yeah. And that's the way that's what we like to hear. And the fishing being good is great. Well those are the two things we can't control. Weather and fishing, but when they're good, we're good. Right. Very true. So when we come in here and say everything has been terrible because of the weather and the fish. Yeah. I mean this has probably been one of the best augusts that I can remember as far as fishing is concerned. It's just unreal. I mean the parking lot's full tonight. I went down there and picked up paperwork for Tim and the parking lot's full. Yeah. Yeah. When I look out at the lake in the morning, it's just like a city. It's lights everywhere. Yep. It's pretty awesome. It's pretty awesome to have a fishing this time of year. So it's great for our charter captains. We're going. Very happy for them. Okay. Any other liaisons? Yes. Any other ones? No. No, I don't have any more. Okay. Hearing none, then, yes, if the members have any issues they want to bring up, and if not, we have one more request for public comments, but I don't hear the older men is not saying anything. Okay. Hearing nothing further than any, but I entertain a motion to adjourn. All in favor say aye. Aye. Aye. Aye. Opposed? Motion carried. Hm. You had a lot of success. That was a fast meeting.
