then hustled to Waldorf 50:18.080 --> 50:22.080 and I appreciate you guys being able to still be available. 50:22.080 --> 50:30.080 My intent tonight is to just provide information for you and to make you aware of a project 50:30.080 --> 50:35.080 that, and I'm going to use quotation marks, is finished after three years of work. 50:35.080 --> 50:40.080 And the reason why I use quotation marks is because I'd like to think that it's probably 50:40.080 --> 50:45.080 not ever formally finished because it will go constantly through changes and updates 50:45.080 --> 50:50.080 and I'm going to hand you this and you can keep those. 50:50.080 --> 50:52.080 That's however you want to use them. 50:52.080 --> 50:56.080 But just to give you a really quick background, I teach at Wasica, I grew up in Wasica, I've 50:56.080 --> 50:59.080 been back since 1991. 50:59.080 --> 51:09.080 I had a passion for local history and worked extremely hard to incorporate my students 51:09.080 --> 51:14.080 into a project that started out as just a tour of Wasica history and some wonderful people 51:14.080 --> 51:18.080 at the city worked to get a grant and then we worked with the school. 51:18.080 --> 51:24.080 So this has become a collaboration between multiple cities and schools and volunteers 51:24.080 --> 51:30.080 and the county has basically said we see value in this and so the county is really just 51:30.080 --> 51:36.080 trying to shoulder this and said we want to use this as a way to promote life in our county. 51:36.080 --> 51:42.080 And so ultimately we started with thinking we just want to make this one tour of Wasica history 51:42.080 --> 51:48.080 and then what we found out was, this is a platform of which that allows other tours 51:48.080 --> 51:53.080 and it worked its way finally to a point of saying let's use this to promote 51:53.080 --> 51:59.080 not just the wonderful histories of our four communities, so four of the tours are 51:59.080 --> 52:04.080 Wasica history, Jangel history, Waldorf history and Erichson history. 52:04.080 --> 52:10.080 But beyond that we also took a step and said well we've got the tours, it's no more, 52:10.080 --> 52:13.080 there's no limit on content, there's no limit on downloads. 52:13.080 --> 52:20.080 Let's add more tours to promote elements of our county to make life in our county highlighted 52:20.080 --> 52:23.080 through the set of tours in this app. 52:23.080 --> 52:29.080 And it's not only a website that is very user friendly, it works very, very well as a website. 52:29.080 --> 52:35.080 It's also an app and it's in the app store and you download it onto your phone 52:35.080 --> 52:38.080 because of the significant amount of content in it. 52:38.080 --> 52:43.080 It is a bit of a slow download at first but then once it gets on your phone it works fantastic. 52:43.080 --> 52:48.080 And so it now is at a point where we're really wanting to get it out there 52:48.080 --> 52:50.080 and make it available to people. 52:50.080 --> 52:55.080 And so I volunteered to say I'll touch base with the different cities in the county 52:55.080 --> 52:59.080 and so that's why I'm here tonight is to share update 53:08.080 --> 53:13.080 of the status of where it's at and I don't know if you had a chance to even look at it at all. 53:13.080 --> 53:20.080 Besides the four history tours it also includes tours of all the schools in the county. 53:20.080 --> 53:26.080 And it's not just kind of generic and vanilla, it's a number of images and websites 53:26.080 --> 53:32.080 and social media and even interviews with each of the principles of the 16 different county schools. 53:32.080 --> 53:38.080 And it's all GPS driven so it's based on a map and you go and you visit it 53:38.080 --> 53:44.080 and you can ignore certain things or you know visit other kinds of things. 53:44.080 --> 53:49.080 So that's our schools and then we also have an attractions and events. 53:49.080 --> 53:57.080 So it's everything from golf courses to libraries to bowling to community celebrations 53:57.080 --> 53:59.080 like hey days and songs in the park. 53:59.080 --> 54:05.080 Those are all tour stops on the attractions tour of which there are 34 of those 54:05.080 --> 54:10.080 that we highlight in the county and just meeting with Waldorf a little while ago. 54:10.080 --> 54:14.080 We need to have a 35th because we did not include Waldorf days. 54:14.080 --> 54:16.080 So now that's going to be on there. 54:16.080 --> 54:21.080 And that's the whole point of this is that as more people visit it --> 54:54.080 So besides the four histories and the schools and the attractions which includes like I said 54:54.080 --> 55:00.080 the golf courses, libraries, everything for attractions there's 37 Waseka history class in Waseka. 55:06.080 --> 55:11.080 We like our churches, our parks and our bars which I'm not sure what that says about us. 55:11.080 --> 55:17.080 But there are 37 on that tour all scattered throughout the county. 55:17.080 --> 55:21.080 And each one of them has everything we could get from them. 55:21.080 --> 55:27.080 Images, websites, social media and then if you're using it on your phone you tap a button 55:27.080 --> 55:30.080 and it navigates you to that destination. 55:30.080 --> 55:36.080 If you're on the history tour, two of our four history tours, if you have is that Caitlin will work to deliver those to every brick and mortar location on all of the tours. 57:19.080 --> 57:26.080 So if there's a shop in Jamesville, a school in Jamesville, a restaurant in there's an outdoor location like on the history tours or on the park or wherever it might be that wouldn't have a spot for those, 57:39.080 --> 57:43.080 there's this, which is basically serves the
