Evers Oh my God! Hello Madison and hello Wisconsin! Go to Heckaria! Good! I'll tell you what! It's a great place. I am jazzed as hell to be here today. And that's because this is the first day of in-person early voting. That means across Wisconsin you can easily, easily cast your bill to make sure that Kamala Harris is the next president of the United States of America. And we have one way to kick off this in-person voting by welcoming back to Madison, back to Wisconsin President Barack Obama. A lot of orange in the audience today. Thank you. I just spent a week traveling across the country with Democratic governors to make sure everyone across the blue wall states understands how important this election is. 40 stops, 2,613 miles and 7 days. It was amazing. I'm still standing. And there are 320 million people in this country and all eyes are on us in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania to make sure that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz win in November. Kamala Harris has been an incredible vice president and she's ready to lead this country forward. She has spent the last four years defending our democracy, fighting to protect our freedoms we hold there, and working tirelessly to do the right thing and deliver for us. She's been a champion for lowering costs including capping insulin at $35 a month. She's helped deliver investments at our transforming our communities, rebuilding our infrastructure, helping me and everyone else fixing the damn roads and supporting working families. Thanks to so many roads that are getting the light, those orange barrels. And I think about time we had a vice president who's been a teacher and a Midwestern governor. Tim Walz is going to be an incredible vice president. So, Wisconsin, I'm just going to ask you this. Are you all in? Are you all in? Do you have a plan to vote? That's great because a lot of people are counting on us to do the right thing. We know that Donald Trump and JD Vance are dangerous threats to our country and our democracy. They're not running to help others. They're running to serve themselves and those on the top. The Radical Project 2025 agenda won't help working families that will hurt them. We know Trump and Vance will try to pass a national abortion ban, rollback access to birth control, emergency contraception and even fertility treatments. We know that they're going to repeal the Affordable Care Act and deny coverage to folks like me and so many others here in the audience and people you care about who have a preexisting condition. You know, and what Trump said about that, he's got the concept of a plan. Now, you take that concept for plan and go pay a bill. It ain't going to work. Oh, shit! Yeah. Yeah. And they're going to give more tax breaks for the ultra rich and the big corporations instead of helping working families get ahead. And we know that a second Trump term would mean unchecked power with no guardrails to hold them back. That's just bullshit. This November, the people have the power and we have a choice and guess what? We are not going back. We are not going back. We're not going back. We're not going back. We're not going back. We're not going back. And here in Wisconsin, here in Wisconsin, we're going to tell Donald Trump, J.D. Vance and Republicans up and down the ballot here in Wisconsin, exactly that come November 5th. So let's get to work and let's win this damn thing. Let's go. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Please welcome your senator, Tammy Baldwin. This girl is on fire. This girl is on fire. She's walking on fire. This girl is on fire. Looks like a girl, but she's a flame. So bright she can burn your eyes, then I'll look the other way. Well, hello Wisconsin. I am so proud to be here today. And it's such an honor to welcome our vice presidential nominee, Governor Tim Walz, back to our state. You know, as a military veteran and a true public servant, Governor Tim Walz is such a great addition to the Democratic ticket. We are so thrilled. And I'm also excited to welcome President Barack Obama back to Wisconsin. I know I'm as excited as all of you are to see him back on the campaign trail. So it's clear that Governor Walz and President Obama know that the pathway to the presidency and control of the United States Senate runs directly through the Midwest, which means it runs directly through Wisconsin because we are the battleground state. And now Wisconsin is likely to decide who our next president is and what party controls the United States Senate. And so... So speaking of that U.S. Senate seat, I'm being challenged by a self-funding multimillionaire by the name of Eric Compton. Let me tell you a little about Eric Khavdi. He owns a $3 billion California bank, a $7 million ocean view home in Lagoona Beach, California, and you know what? He's been named one of the most influential residents of Orange County three years in a row. Now Wisconsin, we have a green county. We have a brown county. We do not have an orange county Wisconsin. You may laugh at that, but you know the stakes of this race are incredibly high. Eric Khavdi celebrated when Roe was overturned. He said he's 100% anti-choice. Meanwhile, I'm leading the effort to restore reproductive freedoms with my Women's Health Protection Act. And on healthcare, Eric Khavdi wants to repeal the Affordable Care Act and kick millions off of their health insurance. You know, living without health insurance throughout my youth due to a preexisting health condition is why I got into this fight in the first place. And just a little bragging here, I wrote the provision in the Affordable Care Act that allows young people to stay on their parents' health insurance until they turn 22. And I will never stop fighting until all Americans have the quality, affordable healthcare that they need and deserve. So, on the economy, Eric is running on something we're calling the Khavdi plan. His plan cuts Social Security by 28%, costing average retirees about $6,000 per year. The Khavdi plan cuts Medicare, cuts nursing home care, and cuts veterans' benefits. Why? Why all to give a $4 trillion new tax cut to big corporations and multi-millionaires like himself? So, as your senator, I will always fight to bring down costs for working families and make sure that multi-millionaires, like my opponent, pay their fair share. Now, with Eric Khavdi, it's more than that. It seems he's insulted just about everyone in our state. He said that farmers don't work as hard anymore, that seniors in nursing homes shouldn't vote. He told kids of single moms that they're likely to be growing up poor and on drugs. And he even said that people who struggle with their weight should pay more for their health insurance. You know, it's clear that he spent more time on his private California beach than on a factory floor or a family farm here in the state of Wisconsin. So, we need to defeat him. We need to defeat him not only to protect our rights and freedoms, not only to continue to deliver for working families across the state, but because Wisconsinites deserve a senator who understands them, not one who insults them. So, Wisconsin, in just 14 days, you will have that choice. And some of you who vote early have that choice starting today. Right. You will decide between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, and you will decide between me and my opponent. And the stakes of that choice could not be higher. So, if you're going to, if you're with me in this fight, I ask you to all join my campaign at TammyBaldwin.com. Or, by texting Tammy, by texting Tammy to 24007, it's amazing to see all of you here this afternoon. It's just amazing. And to be in my hometown of Madison, Wisconsin, with all these great special guests. When I see this crowd, I know that together, we will fight. And together, we will win. Thank you.
